Round #2 Hits Thursday Afternoon November 17, 2010

Posted by mikeheard in Uncategorized.

Another Pacific storm with ample moisture continues to follow the upper level jet stream riding into Western Canada today and it’s expected to drop SE into Montana Thursday morning in the NW corner of the state and end up in SW Montana late day Thursday.

This storm system will have a strong cold front and support of the upper level jet, similar to the last system, so there is a good chance for more strong winds and more snow.

Moving in right behind this system is the leading edge of an Arctic airmass and it will begin to drop temperatures across Montana east of the divide Friday and slowly work into Western Montana late day Friday. By the end of the weekend the core of the Arctic air mass will be right over Montana so look for even colder temperatures Sunday into Monday of next week.
